I had a fantastic birthday! I went all day without having to change a single diaper...I ate lunch at Joe's with some friends...I ate dinner at The Cheesecake Factory with Justin...couldn't ask for a better day! Here is a small slice of what I woke up to:
and I did have to deal with a little of this:
but at the end of the day, got to watch this:
So as you can see...it was a wonderful day! Even if I am a year older! :)
Don't think I am becoming Superblogger or anything...I don't usually do 5 posts in 2 days! I just have a lot of catching up to do!
Here is a preview for Jen, who is patiently waiting for her photos! They are coming!
and this is for Little B...who does not like having his picture taken...but gave me a few faces other than "scary look of death and doom." Here is one to prove it:
What a lucky little girl! The enitire time I was at this shoot, I couldn't help but smile...this is one loved baby! That's how it should be for every little one brought into this world...a family around you to adore you and hug you and kiss you. It was really heartwarming to see , and I am so glad I got to be a part of this lovely family for a day!
I swear. Chayse went over to Janie's house to play today, and when I picked her up, this is what got into my car:
But could I really have it any other way? I could be upset that she colored all over her face with markers after she just had a shower. i could. But i'd rather be grateful that she has a BFF like Janie who she can be herself with, even if it means coloring on your face with a marker so that you can look like a monster. I'd rather be grateful that she is carefree and innocent and thinks there is nothing better that being with someone who makes you giggle and feel special. I'll keep her, rainbow monster face and all.
All I can say is thank goodness she colored on her face and not on Carrie's WALLS!
I had such a wonderful weekend! I attended a flash workshop given by the great Wendy Schulz! I learned So much! And I am proud to say that the above photo of Chayse is taken with natural light and the aide of a flash! GO ME! I do retain information after all! I was able to meet the fun girls from the alumni board, and the most delightful suprise of all was my roomate, Shannon whom I had never met! We hit it off and had such a fun time! There is nothing better than staying up until 3 in the morning laughing so hard your stomach hurts. She is an awesome photographer (check her out in my sidebar) and a great model! here she is letting me practice with my flash on her:
I introduced this Canadian girl to Sonic and real Mexican Food! (Nando's! SW corner of Val Vista and Baseline-BEST mexican food EVER! Get the Pollo Rico!) It was awesome! I also let her practice on me, but I have to say, i'm not as great of a model! :)
So all in all, it was a wonderful weekend that i will not forget. Hopfeully there will be more chances in the near future to learn more about this art that i love called photography! Since i was gone all weekend, I am still trying to catch up on emails and messages...if you are waiting to hear from me, it will be soon, i promise! And don't forget you can always call me or email me again!
Have a great night!

Ok, now for the fun! My kids are cute. No secret there. Right? We knew this. So just because they are cute, here they are!
She's getting so big! Her 1st birthday is TOMORROW!!! i can't believe it, I just can't! My little Brookie...growing up!
And Chayse...my little Halloween lovin Chayse. She loves this holiday more than Christmas! Every day she wants to wear a Halloween shirt, she wants to use the Halloween spoons, she even had a Halloween birthday party for goodness sake! Every time we go to Target (or any store for that matter) the first thing she wants to look at is the Halloween decorations...that's all she asked for her birthday! And I won't even mention how Weslie is terrified of all things Halloween...she stands at the end of the isle crying and waving both hands in front of her saying "nooooooo!"
Two little girls in our house are having birthdays this week! And mine is on the 25th, so we are celbrating like crazy over here! Birthday pictures are on the way!
I did a photo shoot this weekend with an awesome family, and the whole time I was editing their photos I just kept thinking "How Cool!" They were just so cool! The clothes, the location, and the overall vibe of the pictures was so fun! I am a lucky girl to get to work with such amazing families every week! Here are a few of my fave's:
