Last week I did a shoot with a family who had just welcomed twins! These sweet little babies have two adorable big sisters, and such great parents who were willing to be in front of the camera! I loved this couple together, they are so young, and so in love with their kids and each other...I felt really honored just to be invited in!

Milk Free Diet

That's the theme of our new life with Brooklyn. Milk Free. Among many other things! We took Brooklyn to the allergist today, and found out that she is severely allergic to milk. The allergy is so severe that we have to carry around a bag with epi-pens in case she ingests any milk and goes into anaphylactic shock. She will also have to wear a medi-alert bracelet to let people know that she can't have any dairy. We are so sad that she will not be able have have ice cream, Kori's cookies, milkshakes, yogurt...if you have ever seen my recipe blog, you know that just about everything I cook has the work "creamy" in it...but Broookie won't be eating any of that! We are just really glad we found out about her allergy's and can help make her more comfortable, with less rashes and hives! She has a rash on her face and neck that is so bad right now, and I just couldn't resist taking a picture of her rash combined with fishy crackers...which she won't get to eat anymore becasue we noticed that they are made with cheddar cheese. Yikes!

Can you see her poor little neck covered in red? (And how do babies get crackers up their noses?)Poor baby! We love her bunches!

My Girls

I got out my camera the other day, and just took some fun pictures of the girl just being themselves! They are getting so big, and every time I take their pictures I realize how fast they are growing. Here are a few peeks at the cutest little things ever!

Brookie does this cute smile when she is happy...she puts her front teeth over her lip, and I just LOVE it!!!

For all the "Blogger" Bloggers out there!

Before I came over to Typepad, I had a Blogger blog which I loved, but was always bummed becasue of the limited choices I had for backgrounds. Today I was blog surfing, and I came across the coolest thing! A really nice girl who has such cool backgrounds, and they are free! You guys should seriously check them out! Now only if we could get her to get some going for Typepad!

Check them out HERE!

And for all of you that haven't started a blog yet, let these cool designs inspire you! It really is the coolest way to keep up with family and friends...no more emailing pictures out when you take them...the Fam comes to YOU!

Have a wonderful day! ( Did I mention it's in the 80's here? Awesome! Weather!)

(Again, what's with all of my exclamation points??? Must be that entire large bag of Chippers I had at the mall!)

The best $31.80 I 've ever spent

Oh, to be seventeen and in love with a vampire (sigh)....

I'm sure many of you have seen this book blogged about time and time again...but I'm jumping on the bandwagon for those of you that haven't! Can I just say...I am totally obsessed with this series of books! I read all 3 in 3 days, and now I am back to the 1st one again! I love to read, and these books do it for me! If you haven't read them, I can't stress this enough: Buy these books! You will be hooked! Here, I'll even give you the link :) Amazon

Wow, that was a lot of exclamation points! :)

The weather is really cooling off  here in Arizona! I cannot tell you how happy that makes me, right down to the tips of my toes. A special thing happens here when the weather turns just right...all of the sudden there are people everywhere...walking their kids to school, playing at the playgrounds, riding their bikes. The trees that have stood so still for so long all summer (as if to hope that by being so still they might catch just a whisp of wind) are suddenly swaying to the breeze that brings in the cooler air. It's marvelous! You've noticed it, haven't you?(!) My favorite time of year is right around the corner...I can feel it!

Because of the nicer weather, my kids were playing in the backyard, and I noticed Chayse in her funny getup. I grabben my camera, but by the time I was outside, she was ready to run inside: (see if you can guess why!)

This is her sign for "I have to go potty!"

Brooklyn is just growing more and more everyday! She will stand by herself for just a few seconds until she realizes that you are not holding on to her, then plops down. She has 8 teeth, and is allergic to everything! She goes to the allergist this week so hopefully we will find out what we can feed her! Is she really about to be ONE?

It's crazy when you show up to do a newborn shoot and then mom looks like a supermodel just a few short weeks after giving birth! Not fair, but a delight when doing a newborn shoot, becasue I think the photos of Emily and her new baby turned out lovely. It's so great when a mom is willing to be in front of the camera...those captured moments when life is so new if absolutely priceless!

Oh, and can I just mention that this is Em's 5th baby!

I had a really fun shoot this weekend with a family of 5 kids! Every time I meet a new family I am always amazed at the beauty of the kids I meet, and the warm way that I am welcomed into their home. It must be so amazing to be blessed five times over! I wanted to share my favorite photo of each child...check out the eyes on these gorgeous children!

Septmeber 11th, 2001

It was the happiest day of my life. Which sounds odd, becasue for our country, it was the worst, most tragic day in our history. But September 11th, 2001, was the day my first daughter was born. I was changed forever the moment I saw that tiny face and looked into the eyes of someone so perfect and small and so fresh from heaven. The days my children were born all have a special place in my heart, but there is something about the birth of your first baby that is so incredible, it's hard to describe with words. Weslie has brought me so much happiness, and filled my life with so many smiles and giggles and wonder. She has one of the purest, strongest hearts I have ever known. I am blessed just to have her in my life, and to be able to call her my daughter fills me with such pride. I'm lucky. I am so very lucky.

I have heard many people ask the question "Where was God on September 11th? If there is a God, why didn't he save all of those poeple?"  But the events of that day are even more proof to me that he is there. I saw the horrible things that were happening in NYC...

but I also saw a miracle.

I will never ever forget the way it felt to hold your 7 pound, 15 ounce body in my arms. I'll never forget the way it felt to kiss your tiny lips, to feel your soft skin against my cheek. I will never forget that, Weslie. I carry you in my heart.

Proof

This is for Ashlee, who had been patiently waiting forever to see her pictures! I thought I would offer some real proof that I am actually doing them, and I haven't fogotten about her, and I WILL have these done before Maggie is walking and talking! The rest will be here soon, Ash!
