Is there anything here that doesn't start with CREAMY? Probably not...the creamier the better, I say! This is truly a delicious, tasty meal that you will love! Serve it with steamed asparagus, or a crisp salad, and you have a perfect meal!
Creamy Chicken Bakes
Ingredients:
1 package cream cheese
1 package diced mushrooms
about 1/2 chopped sweet onion
2 cups cooked, cubed chicken breast
1 can chicken broth
2 cans Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
Gravy Topping: 2 can cream od chicken soup, milk, pepper
Cook chicken breast in a pan covered with chicken broth in a 350 degrre oven until juices run clear. Chop and set aside.
Chop up mushrooms and onions, sautee over med-high heat until carmelized. Mix in cream cheese and chicken, heat over med heat until cream cheese is melted. This is your filling.
Place triangles of crescent rolls on baking sheet, put a scoop of the filling on each. Roll the dough around the filling, I like to take the 3 sides and just wrap them around, pressing the top together to make a pouch. Bake as long as directed on the crescent roll package.
Gravy: Heat cream of chicken soup over med-high heat, add milk a few tablespoons at a time while stirring. Add pepper as desired. When it is the consistenct you like, take off heat and add it to the chicken bakes when they are fresh out of the oven.
